The 9th Edition of IIHM Teachers’ Day Awards for 2024 was celebrated on 7th September. The Principal Ms. Paromita Roy, teachers Ms.Kakoli Das and Ms. Masuma Badruddin Hararwala of Bridge International School received awards commemorating their incredible contributions in shaping young minds.
On the 1st of September 2023, Bridge International School organised ‘CAMARADERIE’, an exhibition aimed to display the students’ knowledge on various aspects of different countries namely China, Japan, South Korea, Italy, Russia, Germany and India. It displayed the artistic capabilities of the students, covering subjects like Geography, History, Science, Language as well as Art and Craft. The visitors were greeted by the beautiful and expressive creations of the students in the form of drawings and paintings, skits, songs and dances.
The exhibition turned out to be a great success thereby personifying the saying, “Teamwork makes the Dream Work.”
On 15th September, 2023 in the Bhamashah Award Ceremony organized at Nagar Palika Rajgarh.
Hon’able Chairman Shri Shrivardhan Mohta was honored with the Bhamashah Award for his Contribution towards Education by Mrs. Razia Khan Gehlot (Chairperson, N.P. Rajgarh) Mrs. Priyanka Budania (E.O. N.P. Rajgarh), prominent people of Rajgarh Mr. Niyaz Mohammad, Shri Mangtu Ram Mohta, Shri Pawan Mohta, Shri Mahaveer Singh Bika, Shri Pratap Singh Kaswan, Shri Haidar Ali etc. and ward members (Parshad) of N.P. Rajgarh.
Bridge International school celebrated Children’s day with a lot of pomp and festivity. The day started off with a reflective assembly on Children’s day, followed by a day filled with fun and laughter. Children decked up in vibrant coloured clothes. They were given warm token of gifts and food items to enjoy and cherish the day. The children enjoyed the day by watching movies, singing songs and playing games which was such a treat to watch. The day flew by with such positivity and happiness that the children left for their homes with sweetmeats and a smile that spelt abundance and radiance.
The craftwork presented by the students of Classes IV & V of Bridge International School was awarded the 2nd position at the competition held in the Tulipians Primary school.
The craft work was made by using recycled articles like cold drink bottles, thermocol plates, plastic spoons etc and it depicted Ma Durga’s victory over Mahishasura.
A workshop was conducted by Cambridge University Press for teachers teaching English, Mathematics and Science on 24th November. It was indeed a very interesting and interactive session which trained teachers to enhance their knowledge about the learning patterns and implementing teaching resources in the Cambridge Board.
Giaan and his teammates secured the 1st rank in the space exploration exhibition round in the Tinker Fest, held in Science City today.

The ICTRC (The Institute of counsellor training research and consultancy) organized an intriguing Summit of school principals conference at Hotel Hindustan international Kolkata on the 13th of September 2023. Project paradigm introduced an interesting concept of school to Prison where Principals and delegates of different schools understood the importance of Discipline right at the inception of School to ensure the wellbeing of all individuals in the society.
The session was extremely interesting with some reasons of burnouts and stress amongst students and teachers elucidated in various ways and methods. Integral issues like Micro aggression, zero tolerance were discussed and how humanising school discipline is the need of the hour for all schools. Various disciplinary issues and prevention and management techniques were discussed. The importance of equipping teachers with counselling skills were also discussed in details in the seminar. HCL tech along with ICTRC has an interesting course called ‘Start your global tech career’ which brought light to the need of employability as well. Different learning styles were spoken about which made everybody come to an understanding of different ways to ensure discipline in an affirmative yet understanding manner.
Teacher as a counsellor was a study that was effectively looked into and ICTRC even highlighted on some amazing courses that could build upon a strong and effective community of counsellors amongst schools, equipped with the best tools of counseling supervised under them. The entire day was exhilarating with eminent speakers like Mr Aditya, Mr. Keshav Singh and others who brought in the correct blend of mirth and vast knowledge.
The Summit was par excellence with Principals and delegates and everybody appreciated this thought provoking and indelible experience. Such initiatives are truly much appreciated and is truly the need of the hour for the modern era of schools.
The Interact Club of Bridge International School along with the Rotary Club of Behala organised a health check up camp in the school premises on Tuesday 26th September 2023 to ensure sound health of the students. 4 doctors of Ramkrishna Seva Pratisthan were present to conduct the check up. Mrs. Sanghamitra Dutta Gupta, Secretary of the Rotary Club of Behala along with Mrs.Shilpi Saha, Mrs. Kakoli Das and Ms.Fatima Noor coordinated the entire process. The School Management expressed their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and coordinators. The doctors in turn promised to visit the school in the days to come to discuss personal hygiene with the students.
Bridge International School had been specially invited to an International Clown Festival, which was held in Science City on 10th October 2023. Clowns from Germany, Japan, USA and India had performed and the children had an amazing time. It was a spectacular event and the children had a day full of fun, laughter and frolic and indelible memories for years to come.
The SOF IMO (International Mathematics Olympiad) competition was held on 30th Nov 2023 in the BIS premises. The students from classes I to XI took part with enthused spirits. We wish them the very best for their endeavour to achieve success.
Chess Competition was held on 15th August, 2023. Giaan Maitra Choudhuri of class 3 stood 6th out of 64 in the Chess competition under 8 category.
Teachers’ Day was celebrated with pomp and grandeur at Bridge International School, Kolkata. Teachers took a day off from their daily routine of teaching to enjoy with the students. Senior students showed their gratitude towards teachers by cutting the cake and singing in praise of the teachers. The school Management distributed gifts and arranged a small party as a mark of appreciation for the commendable service rendered to the society by the teachers.
